For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
A broad area of low pressure accompanied by cloudiness and showers centered over the Yucatan Peninsula is forecast to move westward over the southern Bay of Campeche during the weekend. Some gradual development of this system is possible through early next week as long as it remains over water. Regardless of development, the disturbance will likely produce heavy rainfall over portions of southern Mexico during the next few days. Regular issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will begin at 2 AM EDT tonight with the beginning of the Atlantic hurricane season.

Pour l'Atlantique Nord ... Mer des Caraïbes et golfe du Mexique:
Une vaste zone de basse pression accompagnée de nébulosité et d'averses centrées sur la péninsule du Yucatan devrait se déplacer vers l'ouest sur le sud de la baie de Campêche au cours du week-end. Un certain développement progressif de ce système est possible jusqu'au début de la semaine prochaine, à condition qu'il reste au-dessus de l'eau. Quel que soit le développement, la perturbation va produire probablement de fortes précipitations sur certaines parties du sud du Mexique au cours des prochains jours. La publication régulière des prévisions météorologiques tropicales débutera à 2 h la nuit prochaine avec le début de la saison des cyclones de l’Atlantique.
