The government of St. Lucia has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for St. Lucia.Interests in Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao should monitor the progress of Don.

An area of low
pressure located about 750 miles east of the Windward
Islands is moving westward at about 15 mph. The associated
shower and thunderstorm activity continues to show some
signs of organization, but the system appears to lack a
well-defined center at this time. Environmental conditions
are conducive for some additional development before the
system reaches the Lesser Antilles late Tuesday or early
Wednesday. After that time, less favorable upper-level
winds are expected to hinder additional development.
Regardless of development, this system is expected to
bring locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds to portions
of the Lesser Antilles beginning late Tuesday. An Air
Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft is scheduled to
investigate the disturbance this afternoon. * Formation

west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. Some gradual
development of this system is possible over the next few
days while it moves slowly toward the west-northwest or
northwest over the open Atlantic Ocean. * Formation chance
through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance

RÉSUMÉ:
1. Une Onde Tropicale très active et accompagnée d'une
perturbation tropicale à son sud va arriver Mardi. 2. Onde Tropicale va
arriver dans environ 5-6 jours (weekend). Elle aussi
devrait être accompagnée d'une perturbation tropicale qui
devrait rester sur l'Atlantique.

arrivée d'une onde tropicale assez sérieuse sur le sud des
Petites Antilles à partir de ce soir, peut-être demain mais
ses effets devraient rester limités sur nos îles. Ciel très

orages. Possible amélioration Mercredi en cours de journée.
ENSUITE..., Une
amélioration est possible de Mardi soir à Mercredi et jusqu'à
Jeudi après-midi. Une nouvelle Onde Tropicale possiblement
accompagnée d'un Système Tropical devrait arriver aux
alentours de Vendredi ou Samedi. Possible dégradation assez
sérieuse de Jeudi à Dimanche. Si ce système passe assez loin

REST OF THE
WEEK ... Improvement from Wednesday to Thursday
but a new active Tropical Wave possibly accompanied by a
Tropical Disturbance is expected to arrive around
Friday. Possible serious deterioration from Thursday to
Sunday. Watch closely! However, this system should run
widely off.
