SYNTHÈSE | SYNOPSIS

 

FR:  Les Alizés d'Est ou NE, propulsés par l'Anticyclone des Açores -qui se renforce- continuent d'apporter des passages nuageux de temps à autres et des averses et de fortes rafales peuvent très bien se produire à leur passage. C'est ce qu'on appelle des grains. En outre, on attend encore une certaine dégradation Samedi et Dimanche avec des remontées d'air chaud et humide depuis le Venezuela et la Colombie et un nouveau renforcement des vents et de la mer. Pas d'amélioration notable attendue la semaine prochaine. Mais les prochaines semaines pourraient voir enfin la fin de la saison humide, fin décembre/début janvier.

EN: Easterly or NE trades, propelled by the reinforcing Atlantic high-pressure system continue to bring cloudy periods from time to time with showers and strong gusts (squalls). In addition, still some deterioration is expected from Saturday into Sunday with warm and humid air drifting from Venezuela and Colombia and also reinforcing winds and seas. No noticeable improvement expected next week. But we could finally see the end of the wet season around late December to early January.

HIER: Plutôt beau temps avec 2 ou 3 averses possibles la nuit. Vents modérés, mer souvent hachée en baie avec des moutons.

NBBC, 8:45 h: Très nuageux vers 7 h, le ciel se dégage actuellement. Partiellement ensoleillé à peu nuageux. Vent légers avec quelques rafales. 12 à 20 kmh de nord-est en mer. Mer belle en baie. Température: 27ºC au NBBC et 26,6 à The Valley, Anguilla. Humidité 72 % (The Valley). Actuellement, il n'y a aucun ORAGE dans un rayon de 1400 km. RADAR: RAS. Température de la mer entre 27 et 28ºC. Belle mais brève averse à 9:45 h.

Voir les conditions "Live" (en temps-réel) à The Valley (Anguilla), la meilleure station météo des environs notamment pour les vents. Distance depuis le NBBC: 18 km (10 milles nautiques). SVP, acceptez ce pop-up, il n'y a aucun danger! The Valley est la capitale d'Anguilla. Autre station pour The Valley: Airport.

AUJOURD'HUI: Des averses sont possibles ce matin et une amélioration cet après-midi. Mais il est très possible qu'il fasse beau dès ce matin (c'est déjà le cas). Wunderground annonce cependant 50 à 80% d'averses ce  matin et 20% la nuit prochaine. Les vents et la mer s'améliorent un peu, prévus 15-25 kmh d'Est à NE. La mer s'améliore au large 1,8 à 2,1 m en Atlantique. Mer belle à parfois un peu agitée en baie. La prudence reste recommandée en mer et sur les plages des côtes Est  

DEMAIN: Très nuageux ou couvert avec de belles éclaircies. 40% de chances d'averses occasionnelles dans la journée et 20% la nuit. Vents & mer, peu de changements dans la journée mais se renforçant un peu dans la nuit. La prudence reste recommandée en mer et sur les plages Est!  

WEEKEND... Les vents et la mer se renforcent à nouveau... Les avis divergent pour le temps. D'après Meteo-France: belles averses. Wunderground: assez beau temps. Prudence recommandée en mer et sur les plages

  • Samedi matin, des averses éparses possibles devenant isolées l'après-midi et rares la nuit. Le vent se renforce à nouveau 25-40 kmh et même 50 kmh pendant la nuit avec de fortes rafales et la mer redevient très agitée à forte.
  • Dimanche: Vents forts 30-50 kmh avec de fortes rafales jusqu'à 70 kmh possibles. Mer forte au large. Plutôt beau temps pour Wunderground. Mais Météo-France annonce de bonnes averses tout le weekend

SEMAINE SUIVANTE (pas garanti du tout!): en principe, peu de changements. Vents et mer restent forts. Partiellement ensoleillé à parfois très nuageux ou couvert avec 55% de risques d'averses en moyenne.

NBBC, 9:45 am: becoming cloudier at this time with a high chance of showers. Moderate but brief shower at 9:45 h. Light Easterly to NE winds with gusts. Calm to smooth sea in the bay. Temp is currently 28ºC / 82.4º F and feels like 30ºC / 86ºF. Humidity: 70% at Anguilla, The Valley. Currently, there are no THUNDERSTORMS at less than 1500 km/800 miles. RADAR: numerous small squalls coming from the East. Sea water temperature from 27 to 28ºC (80.6º to 82.4º F).

TODAY: We expect a good chance of showers later this morning and perhaps an improvement with mostly sunny skies later today. Wunderground (Anguilla) calls for 50 to 80% chance of showers today and 20% tonight. Winds and seas decrease and subside slightly 15-25 kph (9-16 mph) and 6 to 7 ft offshore. Partly choppy in the bay at times but generally smooth to even calm. Small craft and sea-bathers should continue to exercise caution mainly along eastern coastlines.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy to even overcast with large sunny periods. 40% chance of passing showers during the day and 20% at night. Winds and seas: little change at first but strengthening a bit during the night. Small craft and sea-bathers should continue to exercise caution mainly along eastern coastlines.

FRIDAY: Fairly good wx at first. Possible temporary deterioration in evening or night with a 40% chance of showers. Very slight chance of thunder. Winds and seas: slight improvement. However, Small craft and sea-bathers should continue to exercise caution.

WEEKEND... Winds and seas expected to strengthen again significantly... Opinions vary about the weather. According to Meteo-France: good chance of showers. Wunderground: fairly good weather. Small craft and sea-bathers should continue to exercise caution.

  • Saturday morning, scattered showers expected becoming isolated in the afternoon and rare at night. Winds increases again 25-40 pkh (15-25 mph) and even 50 pkh (30 mph) during the night with strong gusts and seas becoming near rough to rough.
  • Sunday: Strong winds 30-50 kph (18-30 Mph) with strong gusts up to 70 kph (45 mph) possible. Rough to very rough seas on Atlantic open waters. Rather good weather according to Wunderground. But Météo-France announces showers all the weekend

NEXT WEEK (not guaranteed at all !): In principle, little change. Winds and sea remain strong and rough. Partly sunny to mostly cloudy or overcast at times with an average of 55% chance of showers. Small craft and sea-bathers should continue to exercise caution.

CYCLONES 2016

 

FR: La saison cyclonique 2016 de l'Atlantique Nord s'est terminée officiellement le 30 Novembre avec 15 tempêtes nommées, 7 ouragans dont 3 ouragans majeurs, 1765 victimes et 11.6 milliards dollars de dégâts. Notre région n'a subi aucun phénomène. Plus d'information. La saison 2017 reprendra officiellement le 1er Juin pour les zones US et le 1er Juillet 2017 pour les Antilles Françaises mais il n'est pas rare que des cyclones se forment dès le mois de Mai de l'Amérique Centrale au Sud-Est USA.

EN: The 2016 North Atlantic hurricane season ended November, 30 with 15 named storms, 7 hurricanes including 3 major hurricanes, 1.765 fatalities and 11.6 billions of dollars damage. Our region have not been affected by any Tropical Cyclone. More information. The 2017 season officially will resume on June 1 st for French Antilles and July 1st  for US areas, but it is not uncommon for cyclones to form as of May between Central America & Southeastern USA.
